A love letter
to the Golden State

California Trip takes us on a road trip adventure with host, Kelly Lynch, a deep drive into the heart & history, the cultural kaleidoscope that is California today.

California Trip is both Kelly’s celebration of the sun-kissed California myth and a search beneath the image, the brand, the fantasy of the fourth largest economy for what is real, beautiful and hopeful, for what makes California more than a state... but a state of mind

Meet the eccentric, authentic, creative & committed characters who weave & cherish today’s California dream.

Kelly Lynch moves easily between worlds—an actor, environmentalist, lifelong seeker and a steward of mid-century architectural preservation.

After a successful career as a model, she rose to prominence as "Diane," the girlfriend of Matt Dillon in Gus Van Sant's much-lauded Drugstore Cowboy. Kelly also starred in the beloved cult classic Road House and played an iconic villain in Charlie's Angels.

Kelly blazed new trails as Ivan Aycock in the groundbreaking Showtime series The L Word. Her recent roles include Magic City, Stephen King's Mr. Mercedes, Sofia Coppola's On The Rocks, and Gus Van Sant's newest film, Dead Man's Wire.

Teaming up with her husband, screenwriter and producer Mitch Glazer, Kelly’s passion for preservation is exhibited in her own architectural gems, Richard Neutra's Oyster House and John Lautner's Harvey House.

For almost four decades, Kelly has joyfully planted her roots in the sunny soil of California.
